How to accept your offer - domestic

Congratulations on receiving an offer to study at the University of Canberra. We can鈥檛 wait to welcome you to our world-class campus.

Accepting your offer is easy, though there may be a few things you need to organise first. The type of offer you鈥檝e received 鈥� whether it鈥檚 unconditional or conditional 鈥� will determine what you need to do.

Follow the steps for the relevant offer type below to accept your offer and secure your place in your course.

Your letter of offer contains details specific to you and your situation, while the information below covers the steps you need to take to accept your type of offer.

Unconditional offer

If you鈥檝e received an unconditional offer, you can accept through our .

If you applied through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) or Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC), there鈥檚 just one thing you need to do first before you can accept: linked to the email you used in your application.

Once you鈥檝e reset your password, you can then accept your offer.

Conditional offer

Conditional offer - domestic

If you鈥檝e received a conditional offer, you need to satisfy the conditions outlined in the offer before you can accept.

Once you鈥檝e uploaded the required documents and satisfied the conditions of your offer, we鈥檒l email you confirming that you can now accept your offer. You can then do this via our application portal.

If you applied through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) or Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC), you first need to  for the email you used in your application before you can accept your offer.

Applying for a review of decision

If have any questions or concerns about the outcome of your application, you can contact our Admissions Office for help.

If you鈥檙e unable to resolve your concerns, you can apply for a formal review of your application in accordance with the University of Canberra Admissions Rules.

An application for review must be made in writing to director.sc@canberra.edu.au within 60 days of receiving your admissions outcome and needs to provide evidence of how the decision:

  • did not take all relevant material submitted into account
  • took irrelevant material into account
  • demonstrated bias that disadvantaged you in the decision.

You can also submit general feedback about the application process to admissions.feedback@canberra.edu.au.

Deferring your offer

Deferring your offer

If you鈥檝e received your offer but would like to start studying at a later date, you may be able to defer for up to one year.

Most coursework offers can be deferred, though there are some situations where deferring may not be available. For example, admission to some courses is limited to certain teaching periods.

If you鈥檝e received an offer for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) in a postgraduate course, you can鈥檛 defer so you'll need to start on the date indicated in your offer or reapply for admission at a later date.

You can request a deferral through our . Log in, select 鈥楻espond to offer鈥� and then select 鈥楧efer.鈥�

If your deferral is approved, you鈥檒l receive a new offer letter with a revised start date. Your admission to UC will be finalised once you accept.
