If you come to UC with relevant experience, you can gain credit towards your degree. This reduces the number of units you must take to complete your course, meaning you can finish your studies sooner and save money too.

Credit transfer applies to units you've either wholly or partially completed, so long as you studied at a recognised institution such as a registered college or training provider, university or TAFE.

You can gain credit towards your UC course in two ways:

  1. Credit for study and/or qualifications from institutions that have formal arrangements with UC
  2. Credit based on a recognised level of study and/or qualifications you鈥檝e completed, regardless of the institution.

In some circumstances, we may also grant credit for work experience if it鈥檚 related to your field of study. This type of credit is awarded on a case-by-case basis.

Find out if you can be credited for your previous study and/or qualifications by using our credit transfer search. To see credit transfer arrangements for a particular UC course, use our faculty/study level credit transfer search.

To search credit arrangements from a specific institution, select your country and the name of the institution, then select 鈥楽earch鈥� to view the results. Filter the institution鈥檚 courses and then select the relevant card to view the details of the credit arrangement.

To search for credit possibilities for a level of study and/or qualifications from institutions in Australia, select 鈥楢ustralia鈥� followed by 鈥楢ny Australian Higher Education Provider鈥� or 鈥楢ny Australian TAFE or Registered Training Organisation'. For international institutions, select 鈥楢ny Other Country鈥� followed by 鈥楢ny International Provider'.

If you鈥檙e eligible for credit for study and/or qualifications from an institution with formal arrangements at 黑料网, we鈥檒l assess your application for credit at the same time as your application for admission.

International students that wish to be considered eligible for credit based on your study and/or qualifications, will be assessed as part of the admissions process. 

Where credit is granted after the student commences, and it reduces the duration of their study in the course, the University is obligated under Australian Government Law to amend the CoE and report the change in study duration to the Department of Home Affairs (Immigration and Citizenship).

Domestic students can apply for credit as a current 黑料网 student after you accept your offer to study.
