Undertaking research is a big commitment in terms of time, effort and resources. Whether you intend to study a PhD or master鈥檚 degree, the costs involved in research depend on what category of student you are and what and how you鈥檒l be studying.
If you鈥檙e a domestic student, you鈥檙e eligible for an (RTP) fee offset scholarship. An RTP fee offset will cover the full cost of your tuition fees, though is limited to:
If you aren鈥檛 eligible for an RTP fee offset 鈥� for example, you鈥檙e a domestic student but have reached the limit of RTP support 鈥� you may be eligible to defer some of your tuition fees through instead.
If you鈥檙e an international student, you鈥檙e required to pay your tuition fees to UC for the duration of your degree or have them paid by your home government or university.
You may be eligible for a tuition fee sponsorship if you鈥檙e awarded a stipend scholarship following a competitive assessment process.
