Learner engagement
This is an intensive face to face taught unit. Skills will be taught, practiced and evaluated in class. These skills are designed to ensure that you are work ready and to support your application and transition into the workforce.
Participation requirements
It is essential that students actively participate in all face to face learning activities. Such particiapation is requried by students in order to meet the Australian Occupational Therapy Competency Standards (OTBA, 2018). Therefore, except in the case of extenuating circumnstances, 100% attendance and engagement in all face to face learning activities is expected. It is also expected that if students are unable to meet these participation requirements they inform the Unit Convener as soon as practical, by email or telephone.
Required IT skills
This unit uses Canvas, to provide students with access to learning content and communication about the unit. It is expected that students are familiar with and able to use Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Mahara e-Portfolio. Students are expected to regularly access the Canvas site and their UC email account as lecturers will communicate with all students via announcements on Canvas and their UC email account. It is the stduent's responsibility to regularly check their email and Canvas for messages, information and/or instructions.
Students will be required to prepare an oral presentation or ePoster using Microsoft PowerPoint. Students will need to convert their ePoster to a PDF.

Submimission of Assignments: All written assignments including must be submitted via the dropbox on Canvas.
You must keep a copy of all your assignments.
Unless otherwise advised in the asessment instructions, written assessment pieces must conform to the following requirements:
- Font size: 12 point - Times New Roman, Calibri or Arial
- Line space: double
- Headings: bold, maximum size 16 point
- Margins: no less than 2.54cm on all sides
- Page numbers: at bottom right hand corner of footer
- Student identification number: (number only) at top right hand corner of header.
