If you鈥檙e a current Year 12 student applying to UC for undergraduate study next year, you could receive an early admission offer under the Early Offer Scheme using criteria other than your ATAR.
Applications for Early Offers will open on 20th May 2024.

To be eligible for the Early Offer Scheme, you must be a current Year 12 student enrolled in a school located in the ACT or NSW and intending to go to university. For example, if you are studying a tertiary package in the ACT, pursuing the HSC leading to an ATAR in NSW, or are undertaking the International Baccalaureate (IB), you can apply for admission to the University of Canberra in advance of receiving your ATAR results, which will instead be based on your Year 11 results and a 300 word personal statement.
When applying for the Early Offer Scheme, your achieved results from the relevant Year 11 subjects will be assessed by UC. 鈥楻elevant subjects鈥� are 鈥楾鈥� or 鈥楬鈥� subjects in the ACT, specific HSC subjects that are used for the ATAR calculation in NSW, and subjects undertaken in Year 11 through the International Baccalaureate (IB) which are used to calculate your ATAR.

Examples
- Bachelor of Design (Industrial Design) has a selection rank of 60 鈥� applicants will need a minimum 60% overall percentage across their Year 11 study results.
- Bachelor of Laws has a selection rank of 85 鈥� applicants will need a minimum 80% overall percentage across their Year 11 study results.
We will also review your personal statement that outlines why you would like to receive an early offer.
*Number percentage results will be used to calculate the overall percentage. However, where letter results only are provided, each grade is assigned a score (A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2, E=1) and an overall percentage equivalent is created based on the total score divided by the number of subjects. For example, if you received grades of one A, three Bs and two Cs, your eligibility percentage would be calculated as:
1 A = (1x5) = 5
3 B = (3x4) = 12
2 C = (2x3) = 6
Total = 23/6 (number of subjects) = 3.8/5 = 76%
To be eligible to apply for the Early Offer Scheme at 黑料网, you must be:
- Intending to go to university, which can be demonstrated by undertaking a tertiary package in the ACT or pursuing the HSC leading to an ATAR in NSW, or undertaking the International Baccalaureate (IB)
- Enrolled in a school in the ACT or NSW
The majority of undergraduate courses at 黑料网 are included in the Early Offer Scheme, but there are some that are excluded from this particular admission program. Make sure you check our list of Early Offer Scheme-eligible courses before applying.
If you are an international student currently in Year 12, enrolled in a school located in the ACT or NSW and intended to go to university you may be eligible for the Early Offer Scheme. For example, if you are studying a tertiary package in the ACT, pursuing the HSC leading to an ATAR in NSW, or are undertaking the International Baccalaureate (IB), you can apply for admission to the University of Canberra for the Early Offer Scheme.
You will be required to submit an application directly to UC鈥檚 application portal. Please make a note on your application that you are applying as part of the Early Offer Scheme.
No, you are not required to provide your Year 12 results. Admission through this scheme only requires your Year 11 results and a 300 word personal statement.
Your offer of admission to UC through the Early Offer Scheme will require you to complete Year 12. However, you won鈥檛 be required to achieve a specific ATAR result.
If there are any additional requirements, these will be outlined on your offer letter.
If your application is successful and you receive an offer through the Early Offer Scheme, you can defer your place at 黑料网 for either six months or one year, depending on your course availability.
If you don鈥檛 receive an early offer as part of UC鈥檚 Early Offer Scheme, you may wish to be considered for the Schools Recommendation Scheme (SRS).

Your personal statement needs to be approximately 300 words in length. It should address which course/s you are interested in studying, and why you have chosen to apply for these course/s at the University of Canberra.
No, you can only be considered for one course at a time. If you have submitted your application and subsequently change your mind, please contact the Admissions Office at admissions@canberra.edu.au and include your application ID in the subject line.
