UC has dedicated support staff available to answer your money-related questions and provide clear advice on student loans and payments, internship and placement grants, overseas study assistance, Centrelink and scholarships.

Centrelink assistance

Centrelink provides eligible students with financial help to cover study costs and rent under schemes such as Youth Allowance, Austudy and ABSTUDY.

Student loans and payment plans

The Australian Government provides course fee loans and Student Services Amenities Fee (SSAF) loans to eligible students, including HECS鈥揌ELP, OS鈥揌ELP, FEE鈥揌ELP and SA鈥揌ELP.

In exceptional circumstances or times of financial hardship, the University of Canberra also offers international students restricted course fee payment plans.

Internship and placement grants

UC offers several grants to help you participate in internships and placements during your studies.

These grants provide you with financial assistance if an internship or placement is unpaid and can help cover the cost of accommodation, childcare, travel and other expenses.

UC offers a broad range of scholarships and bursaries for eligible students. Scholarships are awarded for many different reasons, including academic achievement, financial need, personal background or area of study.

They can cover some of your course fees and study costs, or even help with the finances associated with relocation and accommodation.
