ACT Government’s Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Study Incentive Grant Program
Eligible students studying nursing, midwifery and a selection of the University’s allied health courses in 2024 will have the opportunity to benefit from financial support across their course of study with UC.
The ACT Government Scholarships for Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health, are valued up to $9,000 over 3 years. The scholarships are available to undergraduate students commencing study in Semester 1 2024, in a range of undergraduate Health courses.
Applicants will be assessed against the following criteria:
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage;
- Rural, regional or remote location based according to the Australian Statistical Geographical Classification (ASGC) system, including inner and outer regional areas;
- Academic merit.
Eligible courses:
- Bachelor of Nursing
- Bachelor of Midwifery
- Bachelor of Occupational Therapy
- Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science (Medical Imaging)
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy
- Bachelor of Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation
- Bachelor of Vision Science
- Bachelor of Pharmacy

The ACT Government placement support grants are delivered alongside the University’s Work Integrated Learning Support Scheme, to provide financial assistance to help cover the costs of clinical placement. This funding is available to domestic students, undertaking unpaid placement in one of the eligible courses, who meet one of more of the below eligibility criteria:

- Low income background.
