Student Spaces

A comfortable place to work or collaborate

There are a variety of student study spaces on campus for individuals and groups with different technology or space requirements. These include:

Building 8 (Library)

  • Study spaces for individuals and groups of different sizes, with flexible furniture to help you study how you need
  • Large silent study space, with power points, USB points and computers available in some spaces
  • Rooms are available in the Library for group of students to book for presentation practice or group study.
  • Student kitchen with hot and cold filtered water and microwaves
  • Student computers
  • Printing facilities
  • Assistive Technology Room
  • Mobile phone charging stations

Building 1 Level C (Above the Refectory)

  • Open study spaces with seating and standing height desks
  • Collaborative spaces with flexible furniture
  • A quiet room with bean bags
  • Group study rooms 1C73, 1C75 and 1C77 bookable through the
  • Skype and videoconferencing facilities in 1C77
  • Power and USB charging points throughout the spaces
  • Display screens to connect to in multiple locations
  • Mobile phone charging stations

Building 1 Level B – Foundation Lounge

  • 13 x 2-person study booths for short and long term study
  • High benches and stools for short term study and eating
  • Café style tables and chairs
  • Outdoor seating, including large ottomans
  • Access to the Mizzuna Express Café and the Student Centre

Building 2 Level A & B

  • Open study spaces with seating and standing desks or benches
  • Mobile phone charging stations

Building 5 Level A

  • Open study spaces with seating for individual and small group study

Building 5 Level B

  • Open study spaces with seating desks and a mix of furniture
  • Group Study spaces with display screens
  • Student Kitchen with hot and cold filtered water and microwaves

Building 27 Level B

  • Open study spaces with seating desks and a mix of furniture
  • Collaborative spaces with flexible furniture
  • Power and USB charging points throughout the spaces
